Vision Chemical R&D is looking for a synthetic organic chemist working in a process development team in an effort of developing and optimizing synthetic processes and scaling-up, introducing new processes, as well as improving and troubleshooting existing processes. Successful candidate must have an organic chemistry background. He/She should be able to work independently and team oriented, and be detail oriented with good verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills. The candidate should possess the ability to execute the plan in a timely fashion.

Scientific Responsibilities

- Read and understand MSDS, Safety procedure, SOPs and in case of doubts discuss with team leader.

- Actively contribute to ongoing projects: execute the synthesis, understand and solve synthetic problems in a team environment

- Effective time management, work planning and discussion with group members.

- Able to find relevant literature references and understand various routes available in the literature related to the project / task.

- Carry out small, medium and large scale experiments independently.

- Responsible for observation of reaction and proper documentation in notebook on a daily basis, and completion of documentation on a weekly basis

- Able to monitor reaction by TLC, HPLC, GC or GC/MS.

- Basic Interpretation of TLC, GC, HPLC, IR, 1H/13C NMR, and mass spectral data with team leader and share the same with other member.

- All the analysis data should be compiled and filed properly.

- Has to perform purification – like recrystallization, column purification, high vacuum distillation etc.

- Lab instrument should be handled and maintained properly as described in the SOPs.

- Has to prepare Standards, Reference compounds and Impurities for the project during the optimization schedule of the project in parallel to the optimization studies.

· Support to team leader for preparing the report of the project.

· Perform the other supporting task assigned by team leader (e.g. literature search)

· Has to co-ordinate with analytical team and scale up team.

General Responsibilities

· Conduct laboratory operations in a safe manner. Maintain familiarity with the Chemical Hygiene Plan. Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices.

· Exhibit a high level of professionalism, enthusiasm, dedication, and productivity.

· Participate in continuing education courses and/or scientific meetings to improve knowledge and skills in pertinent scientific fields.

Qualifications

· Doctoral Degree in Organic chemistry, experience preferred.

· Analytical methods operations and basic interpretations (HPLC, GC, NMR etc.)

· Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Strong math, analytical, and problem solving skills.

· Strong skills in verbal and written communication.

· Learn and understand Product Development methodologies and industry-accepted quality standards.

资格

• 博士学位，有经验者优先。
